Bartender Neal Murray claims he created the Cosmopolitan in 1975 at the Cork & Cleaver in Minneapolis. When he added a splash of cranberry juice to a Kamikaze, a customer declared “How cosmopolitan!”
The cocktail became popular in the 80s when Manhattan bartender, Toby Cecchini, made the drink at Odeon and it then appeared on ‘Sex In The City’.

Best served chilled either by using your cocktail shaker or simply by refrigerating first. Pour into a cocktail glass and garnish with an orange zest.
