Spritzers are so hot right now and it’s not just because it’s summer.
First served in 1860, the Americano is the true aperitivo. It’s something the Italians have done for centuries – partake in the cheerful tradition known as ‘Aperitivo hour’, drinking a light, alcoholic beverage before a meal to stimulate the appetite and tantalise the tastebuds.
Switching the soda in a classic Americano for a light tonic adds a delicious citrus twist and the benefits of cinchona while keeping its super low calorie profile.
Our V&T is made with uniquely Australian ingredients produced in Melbourne.
You'll need
Jigger, bar spoon, tumbler, ice
Directions
Measure 1 part (30ml) Maidenii Sweet Vermouth, 1 part (30ml) VEVE Aromatic Aperitif and 2 parts (60ml) Strange Love Light Tonic, adding to a highball glass. Top with ice cubes and stir, then garnish with a slice of lemon.
